Database Assessment and Coaching
The Database Assessment is done first, and is used as a basis for all recommendations in data storage and retrieval. It is a review of processes and procedures utilized by the nonprofit organization in its fundraising database management. This assessment is intended to assist the organization in maintaining and growing its strengths and mitigating its challenges in regard to its data. The Database Assessment provides specific recommendations in at least five main areas necessary for supporting a successful system of philanthropy: Suitable system for size and expertise of organization, Accuracy of data, Appropriate coding and tracking systems, Quality of reporting, Efficiency of running donor acknowledgements and receipting. This is customized for each organization, and will change depending on the nature of the database. From this assessment and "road map" in hand, consel then trains and educates staff in methodologies, strategies and tactics for successful database management. Though an assessment can be done on any fundraising database, Parrish Consulting is extensively trained in Giftworks and Raiser's Edge and coaching is only provided in those programs.
Conversion into Giftworks donor database
When an organization is at a point that the current donor database is not meeting their needs, or is simply a system that is too cumbersome to manage, it may be time to convert into something else. Giftworks can be a powerful tool for many organizations (of all sizes), and is both affordable and intuitive. Parrish Consulting can assist in the conversion process by providing strategies for an efficient and effective conversion. We will help to identify where information should be stored in Giftworks and how data should be coded and segmented specific to your organization. We'll also help to identify what information should be moved from your current software and into Gift Works, and what should be left behind. Areas of data clean up will be identified and prioritized, import files will be created and reviewed, and then we'll put your data into Giftworks. We'll help you work through any "bugs" and train all your staff to be sure they know how to best utilize the system.
Board Training
